Sarah has significant experience as a Business Services Partner at Thomas Westcott, and is highly respected within her field of expertise. Sarah has been with the firm for 17 years and is a specialist in Charities and Not-For-Profit organisations.
"I am truly delighted to be appointed at the President of the Rotary Club of Okehampton. The forthcoming year will see our Club actively involved within the local community, with events for all ages. Our recent Charity Golf event was a tremendous success raising valuable funds to support the local community. Our Rotary Youth Leadership award this year recognises our leaders of the future - something we should all be proud of. I am looking forward also to welcoming new members to our Rotary Club and working with my Rotarian colleagues," said Sarah Watts.
Sarah holds the industry revered Diploma in Charity Accounting, awarded by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). This is awarded to those who have shown the skills and knowledge to make a difference to organisations in the Charity and Voluntary Sector. She is a founder member of Thomas Westcott's Charity and Not-For-Profit Specialist Group, and a member of the ICAEW's Solicitors Special Interest Group. In addition to her specialist expertise, Sarah has an extensive portfolio of clients across Devon ranging from personal tax clients, family companies and partnerships.
Sarah is the Partner in Charge at Thomas Westcott's Okehampton office and also manages a team at the firm's Exeter office.
Thomas Westcott successfully claimed back a significant amount of VAT on our behalf and I was very pleasantly surprised as I did not expect to get a refund at all.
