John Potter said "I am delighted to be appointed as the Treasurer of the BUSINESS FORUM Mid Devon, which is a thriving and hugely dynamic voice for the local business community. I am extremely pleased to be involved in the work of the BUSINESS FORUM Mid Devon to proactively support businesses to sustain and grow within these challenging economic times."
Jim Enright, Chairman of the BUSINESS FORUM Mid Devon said, "I am very pleased that all of the Executive Committee have volunteered both their time and their vast business knowledge to help the local business community to thrive. John is particularly welcome for his very broad financial acumen as well as his knowledge of local businesses and the problems they face. The BUSINESSS FORUM Mid Devon combines networking with a business presentation and the opportunity to question the Council at our bi-monthly early evening meetings which are proving to be very popular indeed."
The BUSINESS FORUM Mid Devon is fully supported by the Mid Devon Council and has a direct line of communication to influence local policy makers, as the elected Leader and the Chief Executive of the Council are both on the Forum's executive committee.
The Forum works together with local businesses acting on their behalf as the voice of the business sector in Mid Devon, and provides advice and support to help existing businesses expand, and for new businesses to open in Mid Devon.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 29th November at the Tiverton Hotel, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with a presentation entitled Marketing on a Small Budget. It is free to attend but bookings are essential using www.bfmd.org.uk.
Thomas Westcott always go ‘above and beyond’. They not only offered support managing my accounts, but were able to advise on the development of my small business and even help family members with financial investments.
