Thomas Westcott Staff Member Takes To the Skies For Charity Jump!

Kate Johnson recently completed the tandem skydive, raising money for Age Concern Exeter. 

"I wanted to raise some money for Age Concern Exeter because I greatly admire the work the charity does within the local community. The skydive was absolutely amazing.  Following the safety briefing, we boarded the plane and after a smooth take off, ascended to 15,000 feet above the Devon countryside. The initial sensation of free falling is incredibly exciting. I would like to thank all my sponsors, work colleagues at Thomas Westcott, friends and family who offered their support and donations to the charity," said Kate Johnson.

Age Concern Exeter is a local, independent charity, reliant on local fundraising and community support to help older people living in the city. It provides opportunities to enhance people's quality of life and supports older people in ways that work for them.

Corinne Bailey, Development Manager at Age Concern Exeter said:  "We had a brilliant day with Skydive UK and Kate was extremely brave and quite fearless. We are so grateful and really appreciate her bravery and commitment. All the money raised will go to support the Visiting Service which supports very lonely older people who aren't able to get out and have few, if any, social contacts."
