Grants of between £25,000 and £499,000 could be available to eligible growing businesses that are able to deliver job creation as part of their development plans. Grants will be focused on capital items such as plant, machinery and premises, but training, software and IT, salaries for new key staff members, and site rental costs may also be considered. Projects must be completed by 31st March 2017 with jobs created by March 2019.
Small, medium and large businesses can apply but grant intervention rates will vary dependent on size of business, location, and job creation arising from funded projects. In addition, due to State Aid rules, certain sectors will be excluded.
A grant prospectus is available with full details on eligibility here, and businesses wishing to apply for the grant programme need to register on the UBI application portal.
Competition for the funding will be high and following a successful Expression of Interest, businesses will be required to submit a business plan, application form and financial forecasts. These are all areas that the Thomas Westcott are experienced in helping clients with. For further information on how we can give your application the best chance of success, contact Chris Hill on 01392 288555 (email@example.com).
