Peter Lomax brings 24 years’ accountancy experience with KPMG, including leading the global firm’s financial services audit practice in the South West. His career with KPMG saw him working in the US, as well as in the firm’s Reading and Bristol offices, advising a broad range of clients across sectors including financial services, manufacturing and technology.
Peter said: “Thomas Westcott is totally focused on serving its clients and helping them find the right answers to what they need. There is a breadth of expertise across the teams, which means the firm can provide the best specialist to advise each client.
“My previous role as an Audit Director for KPMG focused on large companies, many of which were based in London. However, small and medium sized businesses are crucial to the South West region’s economy and the individuals they employ. I’m really looking forward to connecting back to those businesses and applying my experience to help them tackle the complex issues they face.
“I’m excited to be joining such a great team and helping them to continue their growth in Somerset. My priority will be to ensure we keep helping our clients in the best way we can, understanding their businesses so we can provide them with the expertise they need.”
Thomas Westcott Managing Partner Shona Godefroy said: “Peter has an impressive background and experience in advising a diverse range of businesses. His appointment is a reflection of our commitment to Somerset, where our specialists are serving a growing client base, as well as adding considerable expertise to our wider team supporting businesses across the South West.
“Peter is also a great communicator and someone who will play an important role in mentoring colleagues. Here at Thomas Westcott we are committed to supporting our own people to progress and develop in their careers with us. Peter’s appointment will support us as we continue to develop the next generation of accountants in the South West.”
