We are delighted to have been named as one of the UK’s top accountancy firms. In the prestigious Accountancy Age Top 50+50 Firms 2020, Thomas Westcott is ranked 49th out of the leading 100 accountancy practices.
Celebrating excellence and achievement in accountancy, the Top 50+50 ranks firms by total UK fee income for the last financial year. We have moved up one place from our 50th position in 2019 to 49 in the 2020 table.
Accountancy Age has revealed that the 2020 figures indicate a direct correlation between the leading firms’ investment in new technologies and revenue growth.
With 29 partners and more than 250 staff operating from 17 offices across the South West, Thomas Westcott is one of the region’s fastest-growing firms of accountants and business advisers. We continue to invest in key areas by making a number of strategic appointments and developing and promoting our team members.
Thomas Westcott Managing Partner Shona Godefroy said: “In an ever more competitive market we’re very pleased that Thomas Westcott has not only maintained but moved up the 50+50 rankings, firmly positioning us among the UK’s leading accountancy practices.
“With teams and clients across the South West, we continue to grow and develop our services. Over the last few months, this has meant making a number of excellent appointments to enhance our expertise as well as continuing to invest in the future by developing and promoting our own team members, many of whom joined us as trainees and have progressed through the firm.
“It is interesting to see that this year’s figures reflect the link between investment in technology and growth. Being a forward-thinking firm means we have embraced new technologies and innovation, ensuring we really get to know our clients, provide them with real-time data and offer highly customised business advice.
“It is particularly rewarding to achieve this ranking as we approach the end of what has been a challenging year for everyone. As a large regional firm, with a range of specialist teams, we pride ourselves on offering our clients a depth and breadth of expertise to help them meet these challenges.”
